Los Flamingos 27th February<\/strong><\/p>

Last Thursday we played at the magnificent Los Flamingos golf course and we were kindly and generously sponsored by Bob Sawyer who earlier in the week had celebrated his birthday so kindly put some extra Nearest the pin prizes on.<\/div>

The course as ever was tough but great to play with some quick greens added in to the mix.<\/div>

Cabopino 20 February 2025<\/strong><\/p>

Last Thursdays game was played at Cabopino and we were kindly sponsored by Craig Dodd.<\/div>

As usual it proved a tough test for most of us with the greens especially proving difficult due to the fast speed of them.<\/div><\/div>
When the cards had been counted there was a tie at the top so it had to be decided on a back 9 countback.<\/div>

Miraflores Golf13th Februray 2025<\/strong><\/p>

Miraflores was the venue for our latest game and we were kindly sponsored by Dexter Outhwaite.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
On a glorious winters day, with temperatures up in the high teens again the course presented it usual challenges with the first few greens especially slow to the first few groups due to having overnight dew on them due to our first tee time being earlier than usual at 9.10.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
When the cards had been checked, some taking longer than others due to being either wrong or hard to figure out the writing, it was very close at the top with only 1 point separating the top 4 players with a countback needed for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.<\/div>

Santana Golf 6th February 2025<\/strong><\/p>

Our home course Santana was the venue for Thursdays game and we were kindly sponsored by “Little” Norman Walker.<\/div>

This was our first Medal qualifier of the year with the top 2 in each of the gross and net categories going through to the final in November.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
When the cards had all come in and all had been marked correctly<\/div>
there was a 3 way tie in the Gross comp with the winner decided on back 9 score, but in the net category there was a clear winner and his handicap was hacked accordingly.<\/div>
