Mijas – Las Largos 26th January 2023<\/strong><\/p>

This week we played at Mijas Los Lagos kindly sponsored by Barry Douglas.<\/p>

We had another full house of 40 players including a few guests, the weather was by Spain standards was pretty chilly although some of the hardened players still had their shorts on .<\/p>

The course was as long and as hard as ever and this showed in the scores although the winner bucked this trend with a great score off such a low handicap and its always a pleasure to be able to cut his handicap<\/p>

Results from Mijas Los Lagos<\/p>

1st Simon Waby, 34pts, playing off 5.4, now 4.9<\/p>

2nd Jay Cochrane, 31pts, playing off 19.7,now 19.2<\/p>

3rd Ray Critcher, 30pts, playing off 12.3,now 11.9<\/p>

Nearest the pin in One, hole 11, Norman Walker<\/p>

Nearest the pin in Two, hole 3, Colin Bryan<\/p>

Guest prize was won by Matt Weston with 29pts, playing off a 3 handicap.<\/p>

Flamingos Golf 19th January 2023<\/strong>

This week we played down the coast at the magnificent Villa Padierna golf club playing the Flamingos course and was kindly sponsored by Howard Ablett.

This was the first visit there for a lot of people and in glorious winter sunshine it was a great day that a full house of 40 players enjoyed.

The course was in great condition with some of the fastest greens we have played on for quite a while .

The winner was decided on countback with a magnificent back 9 of 21pts

2nd Gary Sparrow, 36pts, back 9 of 16pts, playing off 9.9, now off 9.6

Miraflores 12 January 2023<\/strong>

This week we played our 2nd game of the new season at Miraflores kindly sponsored by Dennis Regan.

In glorious winter sunshine a small but talented band of golfers enjoyed our day and when the scores were checked there were some great scores in with the winner getting cut 2 shots which was very popular with everyone back at the Red Dragon afterwards

Santana Golf 5th January 2023<\/strong>

This week we played our first game of the new year at Santana and was the first game of the new order of merit season.

We were kindly sponsored by Jonathon Furlong and with a near full house there were some good scores with the course playing quite tough.

Our winner when the scores were checked won by 3 shots thanks to a superb back 9 of 24 points
