Rio Real 29th June 2023
Last Thursday we played the magnificent Rio Real course and were kindly sponsored by Kate Cameron.
The course as usual was in magnificent condition with some of the best fairways we had seen in along time.
Our winner carried on his run of good form and eventually was a comfortable winner, 3pts clear of 2nd place.

Next week we are playing Mijas Los Olivos and this is a medal comp with the winner of the Gross and Net comp going through to the final later in the year.
La Cala Europa 22 June 2023
Last Thursday we played the very tough La Cala Europa course and were kindly sponsored by John Spring.
This was a course we hadn’t played for a few years and for some the memories came flooding back about it (good and bad ones), however the course was in excellent condition and a good day was had by all.
Our winner came in with an excellent score of 36pts, no thanks to a superb front 9 of 24pts and following on from her hubby’s major win the week before and all the bragging rights going to him this might of stopped some of the bragging (we doubt it tho).

Santana 15th June 2023
Last Thursday we played our 3rd Major of the year, the Torreblanca US Open at Santana and was kindly sponsored by the one and only Raymond Critcher.
As usual the course was in excellent condition although after recent tining of the greens which goes on everywhere here this time of year the greens were a little bit slower than normal which caught a few of us out.
When the cards were checked we had a new winner and first time major winner and of course that name on the board in the Red Dragon bar, although I hear his name has been on the board there before but it was the wall of shame board for not paying his bill.

Santa Clara 8th June 2023
Last Thursday we played at Santa Clara golf club and were kindly sponsored by Phil “have you got my shirt yet John” Ginn.
Despite the dodgy looking unseasonal forecast we all set off hopeful that the impending rain would blow over, alas we were wrong and on the back 9 the heavens opened, after a brief stoppage most finished the round. I’m sure next week and for the next few months we will be complaining its too hot now .
After the cards had been dried out and checked and the usual tales of woe had been spoke of, including balls stuck up trees , our newest committee member and master of ceremonies announced the winners back at the Red Dragon.

Miraflores 1st June 2023
Last Thursday we played at Miraflores golf club and were kindly sponsored by Norman Tillbrook.
Our presentation was done by our newest committee member Dennis Regan, welcome aboard Den.
The course was yet again in great condition with the greens particularly in good condition and the recent rain has certainly helped all the courses on the coast.
