Santana Golf 20th June 2024
Santana was the venue for our latest game kindly sponsored by Ray Critcher and as usual the course did not disappoint.
With a fairly strong welcome breeze to cool us all down the scores were very good with the majority of players scoring over 30pts.

1st, Iain Hardiker, 39pts, playing off 11.7, now 10.5.
2nd, Colin Bryan, 36pts, playing off 21.5, now 21.0.
3rd, Gary Sparrow, 35pts, playing off 8.5, now 8.3.

Guadlahorce Golf 13th June 2024
Thursdays game we played at Guadlahorce playing the society’s 3rd major of the year the US Open and we were kindly sponsored by Mike Milner.
The course was not in the best condition as like a lot of the courses out here at this time of year they were doing maintenance on it including tining of the greens.
When the cards had been checked there were some good scores in with the winner clinching his first Torreblanca Major and his name on the board in the Red Dragon which for him makes a change to be on that board as Andy usually has him on the wall of shame board in there.

1st, Dave Errington, 37pts, playing off 10.7, now 9.9.
2nd, James Clark, 35pts, playing off 21.6, now 21.1.
3rd, Simon Waby, 34pts, playing off 5.0, now 4.8.

La Cala – Asia 6th June 2024
Thursdays game was played at La Cala where we played the Asia course and we were kindly sponsored by Dave Errington.
The Asia course is a good challenging course and is a favourite out of the 3 courses at La Cala but unfortunately we had to play on tined greens which quite a few of the courses on the coast do this time of year.
When the cards had been checked we eventually had a 3 way tie at the top with the result decided on countback, there were some issues with cards so please can everyone check there cards and the cards they mark as we don’t want to spend time after having to check with people why cards don’t match.
