Mijas Los Olivos 26th June 2026
Mijas Los Olivos was the venue for last Thursdays game and we were kindly sponsored by Des Connolly who put a couple of extra Nearest the pins on the par 3’s.
With numbers now falling for the summer months there were still enough players to play the order of merit and when the cards had been checked there was 1 score that stood out above the rest and had his handicap duly hacked.

Next week we are playing at Calanova with the first tee time at 10.30, this will be a medal game with the first 2 in the gross and net categories going through to the final in November, as this is the first game of the month we did the draw for the groups on the terrace afterwards and everyone who Is playing will receive there tee time and groups as usual by email on Tuesday morning.
Parador 19th June 2025
Last weeks game was played at Parador and we were kindly sponsored by Jim Gracey.
After the greens had recently been hollow tined we weren’t sure what to expect but although slow they had recovered fairly well apart from 2 greens which they are going to completely replace soon.

Atalaya 12th June 2025
Last weeks game was played at Atalaya where we played the New Course and we were kindly sponsored by Phil & Jan Dodd.
This was the society’s 3rd Major of the year and was our version of the US Open.
This was a good venue for a major comp and although the greens were a bit slow the rest of the course was in good condition.
There were a few extra prizes to hand out this week courtesy of our sponsors and much to the disappointment of everyone back at the bar after ,all the prize winners were there to collect there prizes so there were no raffles.
When the scores had been checked , we had a first time major winner and his coverted name on the board.

Santana 5th June 2025
Santana was the venue for our latest game and we were kindly and generously sponsored by Dave Errington.
As usual lately the course proved a tough test with tee boxes pushed right back and despite the greens being tined a couple of weeks ago they were in good condition if not a bit slow.
When the cards had been checked there was only 1 point between the top 4 players so the back 9 countback came into play.
