Parador 30th October 2025
Last weeks game was played at Parador and we were kindly sponsored by Ian Ashworth.
We were all set with a full house of 32 players for this game but on Wednesday the first rain that had fallen for over 6 months was a full day of heavy rain which meant on Thursday there were no buggies at all so we ended up with 21 players.
After all the rain the course was still fairly good with the greens although slow ,in very good condition.

Atalaya New 23rd October 2025
Thursdays game was played at Atalaya New and we were kindly sponsored by Martin and Kay England.
The course was in its usual good condition but the greens frustrated nearly everyone as even tho they looked quick they played fairly slow.
When the cards had been checked we had a new winner who now takes his place in the end of season final in a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately most of the prize winners didn’t come back to the Red Dragon where as well as the presentation and “mass” raffle for the unclaimed prizes there was also a birthday amongst us with our sponsor Kay England celebrating her birthday.

Anoerta 16th October 2025
Last Thursday we played at Anoreta and we were kindly sponsored 
by Andy Hassall.
by Andy Hassall.As usual Andy supplied his own prizes including his infamous Blue wine as a prize that everyone did there best to avoid winning.
All the talk before the game was about what the winning score may be as last time we played there the winner only had 27pts but alas all these guesses about the score were totally wrong with the winner shooting a great score and boy did we know about it back at the Red Dragon.
The presentation started this week with Bob announcing that Jason Abbasciano had got his 1st Hole in One on the 9th Hole with a “Smooth 5 iron” and collected his trophy for it.

Santana Golf 9th October 2025
Santana was the venue for our latest game and we were kindly sponsored by Greg O’Brien, with some extra prizes again being kindly donated by the Mary Peters Trust.
This was our last medal qualifier for November’s final back at Santana with the first 2 players in each of the gross and nett categories going through unless you had finished in the top 2 in both therefore only 1 would go through.

The course as ever was in great condition and was a good test for everyone with some great scores, but when the cards were checked there was 1 superb score who in the end won by 6 pts which was duly followed by a big handicap cut.
