Handicaps

Torreblanca Golf Society have not adopted the new World Handicap System. We have been approached by several TBGS members asking why we haven’t adopted the new WHS system.

• Most people who live full time in Spain and only play their golf in Spain (in the TBGS) are not members of any country’s WHS ruling body! 

• Your Society handicap is for playing in the society, you can’t use it to play in any official tournament or record your scores in any of the WHS systems.

• We put a lot of thought and discussion into the new system, to make the system as fair as possible across the whole handicap range.

We believe the new system is fair for those who play their golf within the society, you may be a shot or two higher within your own WHS body, but for now we have our system in place. It works well for those playing most of their golf here in Spain with Torreblanca Golf Society.
