Marbella GCC 24th April 2025
Marbella was the venue for our latest game and we were kindly sponsored by Julie Owen & Sheelagh Maloney.
After a delayed start due to there being no buggies available, we eventually all got away and the course played tough but fair with the greens especially in good condition and quick.
When the cards had been checked there was 1 clear winner ,thanks to a superb front 9 of 23pts, although there was an inquiry into him protecting his handicap on the last few holes by no scoring on 2 of them.
Unfortunately again some cards were either incorrectly filled in with scores missing or not having a markers score on the card so these were not counted in the competition.

El Higueral 17th April 2025
Last weeks game was played at El Higueral and we were kindly sponsored by Mike Milner who couldn’t be here due to watching his team Manchester United unexpectedly still being in Europe. With it being near Mike’s milestone birthday he had arranged for some shots for everyone which went down very well with everyone.
As usual we mixed the tees up with the men playing whites first 9 holes then yellow 2nd time round with the ladies yellows then reds.
The course was in excellent condition with the greens especially good. When the cards had been checked it was 2 of our stalwart members who took the top 2 places.
After the presentation there was another milestone birthday celebration this time for the Thursday morning society debt collector aka Mandy who was presented with her cake.

Santana 10th April 2025
Our first major of the year , the Masters , was held at our home course Santana and we were kindly sponsored by JJ Prescott from Minnelli’s.
As per usual at Santana , scores were very close together, with the top 18 players all scoring 30pts and over.
Our winner carried on his good form from last week and clinched his first Torreblanca Major and also his name on the coveted board in the Red Dragon, it turned into a very good day moments later when he also won the football card too.

Santa Maria 3rd April 2025
Santa Maria was the venue for last weeks game and we were kindly sponsored by Martin & Pauline Fink.
After battling the usual traffic mayhem on the A7 and a slight delay because of a couple of heavy showers we were pleasantly surprised after the rain how good the course played although the greens were proving tricky with the slower speed of them.
When the cards had been checked there was a wide variety of scores apart from the winner who shot a great round considering and won by 3 pts.
