Anoreta 27th November 2025
Last weeks game was played at Anoreta and we were kindly sponsored by Simon Waby.
As usual with Anoreta it was its usual tough test with only 2 players managing to score over 30pts.
This game was also the last game in our latest 3 month mini order of merit and out winner was presented with his trophy at the presentation back at the Red Dragon.

Marbella GCC 20th November 2023
Marbella was the venue for the latest game and we were kindly sponsored by Ed Harrison even though he couldn’t make it out to Spain to play so he asked Tony Newman to step in for him and do the presentation.
The course was its usual tough self with the greens in great condition and running fairly fast which made for some tales of woe afterwards.

Santana 13th November 2025
Santana was the venue on Thursday for our end of season finals day and we were kindly sponsored by Ian McCarthy.
The finals that were played that everyone had tried to qualify for over the last 10 months were the champion of champions final which featured our weekly winners over that time and we also played the medal final where we would crown both a Gross champion and a Nett champion. There was also the normal weekly order of merit comp which everybody was entered into.
For a change it wasn’t sunny Santana and thankfully the rain that was forecast held off but only till just before we did the presentation back at the Red Dragon.
In the Champion of Champions final there was a 3 way tie at the top with it being settled on a back 9 countback.
The Gross final produced the usual winner from the last few years shooting a great score of 77.
The Nett final was again a 3 way tie at the top with 7 players all within 3 shots of each other.
In the weekly order of merit competition there were 2 great scores that came in and the handicap cutting scissors certainly came in useful for them.

Miraflores 6th November 2025
Thursdays game was played at Miraflores and we were kindly sponsored by Simon Waby even though he wasn’t back from the UK yet.
This was our last game before finals day so therefore the last chance to qualify for the champion of champions final next week.
As usual the course offered up its good chances of a good score and the top 3 all had good rounds especially the winner and then realised they were all getting cut for finals day.
