Calanova 28th May 2026
Thursday’s game was played at Calanova and we were kindly sponsored by Martin & Pauline Fink.
This was our first game at Calanova in quite a while but unfortunately like quite a lot of courses out here at the moment the greens had been tined so they weren’t in very good condition at all.
Despite the greens there were still some good scores in with a 4 way tie at the top decided by various countbacks.

1st, Mark Humphrey, 35pts, back 9 of 18pts, playing off 18.9, now 18.2.
2nd, Norman Tillbrook, 35pts, back 9 of 17pts, playing off 18.3, now 17.9.
3rd, Ray Critcher, 35pts, back 9 of 14pts, same back 6 , back 3 as Brian Wilson but better back 2 holes , playing off 14.6, now 14.3.

Atalaya 21st May 2026 – USPGA
Thursdays game was played at Atalaya New and this was our 2nd major of the year , the USPGA and we were kindly sponsored by Phil & Jan Dodd.
With this being a board competition there was plenty of chat before on the winning score and we were all wrong as the winner came in with a great score, despite some very slow greens and also despite in his own words “messing up the last”, this clinched his 1st major win and his name on coverted name on the boards in the Red Dragon.

Santana 14th May 2026
Our home course Santana was the venue for our latest game and we were kindly sponsored by Dave Errington.
With a full house of 32 players we were treated to a course in excellent condition which as lately played that little bit tougher especially with a strong breeze thrown in.
It was very close for the top 3 positions with only 1 point separating the top 4 places.

Parador 7th May 2026
Thursdays game was played at Parador and we were kindly sponsored by Richard Hookham.
This was our first medal qualifier of the year for the final in November.
The course proved its usual tough self with some slowish greens making it harder to putt on but there were still some great scores in both the gross and nett categories.

2nd, Dave Errington, Gross 86, playing off 6.7, now 6.4.
