Anoreta Golf 8.10.26
Thursdays game was played at Anoreta and we were kindly sponsored by Dermot Carolan.
With this being the furthest away course we play numbers were slightly down but we still had 22 players ready to take on the usual tough challenge of Anoreta. Unfortunately the course wasn’t at its best probably in part to the sheer numbers of people playing it and this made for a very long round.
This is always our lowest stableford pts scoring course and apart from 3 good scores the rest were extremely low.

1st, Steven Taylor, 31pts, playing off 18 1, now 17.5.
2nd, Dermot Carolan, 29pts, playing off 9.4, now 9.0.
3rd, Gary Sparrow, 24pts, back 9 of 14pts, playing off 8.8, now 8.6.

Next week we are playing at Santana, this is our final medal qualifier before November’s final with the top 2 , who havent already qualified, in each of the gross and nett categories going through to the final. The first tee time is at 10.00
Lauro Golf 1st October 2026.
Our latest game was played at Lauro and we were kindly sponsored by Norman Tillbrook.
This was our first game at Lauro for a few years and we played holes 10 to 27. The course was in great condition with the greens especially good to putt on.
When the cards had been checked there was a new winner in the society with a great score of 38pts and a place in finals day in November.
